About Kate

Kate and her husband Joe moved to Edina to build and raise their family, drawn by the same things that attract so many others: strong schools, excellent city services, and a welcoming community. They have lived in the Pamela Park neighborhood for nearly a decade and are raising their three daughters alongside their mini goldendoodle, Frankie.

Community involvement has always been an important part of Kate’s life. Before serving on City Council, she served on Edina’s Planning Commission, including as Chair, and helped lead long term planning efforts that will shape the future of the community. She remains actively involved in local organizations and values the relationships and perspectives that come from these connections.

Professionally, Kate is a technology leader with more than 15 years of experience building and leading teams at various organizations and has been recognized for her leadership and community impact, including being named a Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.

Kate earned her undergraduate degree from Macalester College and later received her MBA from MIT. She also participated in the University of Minnesota Humphrey School Policy Fellows program, reflecting her belief that leadership is rooted in lifelong learning and service.
